
On the 19th October 2011 I am lucky enough to be speaking a the Online Video Strategies event, part of Streaming Media Europe at Olympia in London.
The official description of the session is:
From audience research and setting key performance indicators to distributing your content and evaluating its success, there’s more to a winning video strategy than simply posting some clips online and hoping people find them. Via case studies and research, this session looks at the big online video picture before later sessions dig into the details.
I am really excited about it, as a viral video specialist ST16 has been working with clients for many years to make them aware of the holistic approach you need to take when producing viral video. It isn’t just about a good idea, or a clever seeding strategy, it all starts and ends with the audience.
Researching the audience and the issue or product and then using specific viral experience to develop creative is how you start. Attention to detail is crucial if you want to maximize your chances of success. I would tell you more, but I guess you are going to have to attend the event!
