Big smiles all around the ST16 office this month! Our Crashproof viral for Safer Roads in Thames Valley has been nominated for two prestigious awards - the Some Comms Awards and the IVCA Clarion Awards. Our Vampire Viral for NHS Northamptonshire has also been shortlisted in the IVCA Clarion 'Viral: Public Sector Communication' category.
Now in their 9th year the IVCA Clarion Awards are Europe’s biggest awards to recognise and reward communications for CSR, diversity, sustainability, community development, ethical, health and welfare issues in the public, charity, social enterprise and corporate sectors.
Commenting on the nominations, Marco Forgione, IVCA’s Chief Executive said: “Once again we were delighted by the diversity, quality and sheer number of this year’s IVCA Clarion Award entries and congratulations to ST16 on their nomination. Our panel of judges had a difficult job to draw up the short list from the excellent calibre of entries we received and I would like to congratulate all those who have been shortlisted and wish you the best luck for the final!”
The Some Comms Awards are now in their second year and aim to celebrate the best in UK social media by recognising the mavericks & pioneers who are revolutionising the use of online media to communicate in cool and innovative ways. Supported by the CIPR and PRCA, high profile judges include Robin Wilson Director Digital, PR and Social Media at McCann Erickson, Charlotte Thompson, Head of Media & Audience Engagement at the BBC and Dominic Burch, Head of Corporate Communications at Asda.
Winners of the IVCA Clarion Awards 2011 will be announced at a ceremony to be held on Wednesday 21th September. The Some Comms Awards 2011 winners will be announced in Manchester on Wednesday 19th October.
