'SAFE@LAST' Win ST16’s £7K Video Prize
Film and video production specialists ST16’s announce today that the charity SAFE@LAST are the winners of their 10th Anniversary Charity Give Away prize.
The prize that started out as £5,000 is now worth over £7k as ST16’s partners Roger Tidball from Ginger Communications, Birmingham’s Audio Suite and Rapid Replication generously offer their services to the winning charity.
SAFE@LAST work with the 1 in 7 children and vulnerable young people at risk through running away from home. The vital services they provide include preventative education in schools, a 24 hour helpline and an emergency refuge. In the past two years their education programmes have impacted over 20,000 children in South Yorkshire.
The prize will enable the charity to produce an engaging film to empower children with the tools to ask for help and let them know where to turn at what can be one of the most desperate points in their lives. The film will be used in school presentations and one to one work with children. Working alongside SAFE@LAST, the ST16 team will also offer their expertise in promoting the charity’s profile using online video – ensuring as many vulnerable children as possible are reached.
ST16’s Strategy and Operations Director Jeremy Stinton says the ST16 team are excited to get started on the project, ‘With over 60 entries to the competition it was a very difficult job for the judges to pick just one winner! SAFE@LAST’s project was the one we felt passionately we could make the biggest difference to – with creative and engaging content we feel we can make an otherwise unobtainable impact on the young people SAFE@LAST want to reach.’
