International award for viral film!

The June Los Angeles air was warm, the atmosphere electric and the wine flowing as Stafford based ST16 received a worldwide accolade for their work, at the annual US International Film and Video Festival. Their viral film ‘Steamy Windows’ saw off over 1200 other entries to secure its position.

The numbers had already been stacking up for the film aimed at reducing young drink driver deaths: In 5 months the piece received 1.5 million views on Youtube achieving '87th most viewed of all time in the UK'. The film will reach an even wider audience when the High Definition video is shown in cinemas next year.

The Primary Care Trust who commissioned the viral film, knew only too well that the traditional methods of accessing the difficult target audience of 17 to 25 year olds simply weren’t having the impact they required. What they needed and ST16 delivered was a solution that the young drivers wanted to engage with, distribute among friends and subsequently help to change attitudes.
