Despite the tight deadline, we produced a short film around the documentary idea of a single parent who needed to make use of all of the council's services - everything from paying council tax bills to obtaining school meal vouchers and reporting maintenance issues such as faulty street lighting. This proved an effective way of promoting the council's Local Link service: one source of contact in large libraries and community centres. Intertwining action with a voice-over highlighting the benefits of Local Link, the film did the job. They won the award.
